MUSTIQUE ISLAND
Activities

Beaches:
Mustique is a picturesque and secluded 1,400 acre island surrounded by nine beaches of pure white sand, with gently swaying coconut palms and warm turquoise waters. Macaroni Beach is perhaps the most famous of Mustique's beaches and is situated on the east coast of the island. Other popular beaches on the Atlantic or Caribbean are Endeavour, Lagoon, L'Ansecoy and Simplicity, several of which have picnic hut facilities. Reservations for picnic tables can be made through the Hotel Reception.

Pool:
An 50' by 18' swimming pool is located in the centre of the resort which is furnished with teak lounges and large umbrellas, with views across the hotel gardens to the Caribbean Sea.

Scuba Diving and Watersports:
The water sports department is located on property and introductory dives, open water certification and other various dive courses are available with a certified dive instructor. A number of non-motorised water sports equipment is available from the water sports department on a complementary basis.

Tennis
The two recently refurbished tennis courts are available for guest use at the resort as well as 4 flood lit courts located two minutes drive from the hotel on the Island. Private lessons are available with the Mustique Island Tennis Director.

Royal Sailing and Boating Daytrips:
Day trips to the neighbouring islands can be arranged from the hotel. Enjoy a sailing or power boat trip to the neighboring Grenadine Islands of Bequia, Canouan, Tobago Cays, Palm, Union, and Petit St. Vincent. Boats charter prices vary accordingly to location and destination.

Horseback riding:
The Mustique Equestrian Centre offers thoroughbred horses and ponies to take you on scenic riding trails all around the island. These trails meander up into the hills, offering impressive panoramic views, and down on the white sand beaches where you can indulge in your childhood fantasy of galloping in the surf.

Fishing:
Inshore and deep-sea fishing - price available upon request . Year-round catches may include: inshore - salt water salmon and mackerel, jack, yellowtail snapper and barracuda and deep sea - tuna, dorado (mahi-mahi), wahoo, sail fish and marlin.

Fitness Trail:
Located near the airport and you'll find 15 exercise "stations" scattered between L'Ansecoy Beach and the tennis courts.
You can walk around the 2.2 mile loop if you choose, taking between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on your exertion rate. Each instruction has different levels from beginner to expert.

Hiking:
It is easy to explore the history of Mustique going back to the days when cotton was king. Mustique is easy to explore on foot although there are no marked trails. The adventurous can find the remains of old sugar mills, slave quarters and plantation houses and pre-Columbian pottery is also occasionally found. A number of beaches are connected along the coastline by rustic stone paths.

Birding and Flora & Fauna:
From the woodlands on the hillsides to the hardwood hammock and mangrove communities, to the beaches, sea grass and coral reefs...all well-worth exploring. Over 100 species of plants and 55 species of birds can be found on and around our island.

The story is the same below the water where the surrounding coral reefs teem with over 115 species of fish, all in different colors, shapes and sizes.

Golfing:
The Raffles Resort and Golf Club on the neighboring island of Canouan offers a demanding 18 hole course (72 par). A golfers package includes green fees, golf cart, lunch and use of the Beach Club facilities - price available upon request. Transportation to and from Canouan is easily arranged a 10 minute charted flight or 45 minutes by power boat.
